Ironing Pass Stand

The construction of this Ironing Pass Stand is sliding bearing blocks for size range accommodation, with shimming capability under the lower bearing blocks. There is a quick release lever operated cam to unload ironing pressure during mill stops, or to pass butt welds through the inside rolling mandrel. There is also a wedge arrangement, which is lead screw adjusted for fine adjustments. Height adjustment is provided through vertical lead screws to vary tube diameters. Live roll spindles are mounted in heavy duty bearings.
